Be always Thankful.

For this post I wanted to take a minute and just talk about things I’m thankful for.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I thought it would be most appropriate.

I see all these posts on Facebook from friends saying what they’re thankful for; and I’ve been inspired.

blessingssss

I want to start off by saying I am thankful for a loving and gracious God.

It’s because of Him that I am able to do everything.

It’s actually because of Him I have things to be thankful for.

He has blessed my life beyond what I could ever imagine.

It’s because of Him that I am where I am in life.

He has perfect timing and is always faithful.

It’s a huge blessing to be at the school I am, getting the education that I’m getting and meeting the people I ‘m meeting.

I am thankful for a school that has professors that actually want to get to know you on a personal level.

Your education and success is their success. They want to be apart of your journey.

They want to see you succeed and pick you up when you don’t.

Or at least give you the tools to pick yourself up.

I haven’t experienced this type of educational setting before I came to college and I couldn’t imagine doing it any other way.

I am thankful for my family.

My loud, crazy, encouraging, supportive, hilarious, loving, safe, sometimes frustrating, family.

I couldn’t think of doing life without them and miss them every day I’m at school.

I am who I am because of them.

I get my sass from my mother, my awesome dance moves from my father, and my patience or lack there of, from my brother.

My mom is my best friend, my dad is my strong shoulder to lean on, and my brother is almost cooler than I am.

Almost. Actually he’s totally cooler than I am.

One of my favorite hobbies is texting them. Yeah, I said it.

Home is where they are.

I am thankful for my boyfriend, Josh.

He is such a blessing and it seems too good to be true sometimes.

He loves the Lord, and we just have way too much fun together.

He always makes me laugh. And smile.

We share a mutual love for Harry Potter and The Hunger Games.

He brings me coffee and flowers…all on his own.

He has the best smile around, and gives me butterflies all the time.

He is a true gentleman.

I don’t know how I got so lucky.

He’s a keeper.

I am thankful for my best girl friends.

A girls gotta have her girls.

My girl Christine is such a genuine, loving, loud person.

We met last year, live together this year, and basically plan to live together for the rest of our lives.

She likes to braid my hair and listen to country music.

She is a painting prodigy and I can’t draw to save my life.

I’ve heard all her stories… more then once, and she’s heard mine.

She loves Jesus and it shines through her being.

We enjoy joy rides and adventuring.

She’s my soul sister.

Lauren. This gem.

My partner in crime.

My dance partner.

My singing partner.

My keeper of secrets.

My advice giver.

My puzzler and ultimate gamer.

The girl I can come to with anything and everything.

She’s my other soul sister.

Lisa. This lady.

I can really be myself around Lisa.

We’ve perfected the ugly face pictures and have a plethora of inside jokes and weird phrases.

I’ve laughed more then enough laughs to last a lifetime when I’ve been around her.

We made a music video; with Christmas lights. I know what you’re thinking, legit.

We get each other.

We became friends at literally the most perfect time in our lives and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I am really blessed to be able to call them my friends.

I am thankful for my health and well-being.

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis my sophomore year of high school and thought my life was over.

But I have been super blessed to have little to no complications since then.

God is so good.

I am a healthy 22 year old who is fully able, with only the occasional case of “crazy college student”.

At least it’s better than Bieber fever. Yuck.

I am thankful for my freedom.

Freedom to express myself.

Freedom to be myself without fear.

Freedom to believe in what I want to believe in.

Freedom to go where I want to go.

Freedom really isn’t free and I am thankful for those who have gone before us and who are currently fighting for our freedom.

I am thankful to be able to dance.

This is my element.

The music just pumping through my ear buds.

Nothing else matters.

Just feel, and react.

I am thankful for the gift of rhythm.

It is my escape.

I may be a white girl but I can get jiggy wit it.

blessingsssblessingss

I could honestly keep going, but for sake of time and length of this post I will say the end.

I encourage all of you to stop and count your blessings.

It turns any bad day into one full of appreciation and happiness.

We all have so much to be thankful for and things of that nature…

XOXO

Anna
